Honorary degrees by Nomination
The University and independent colleges of Ballsbridge university awards honorary degrees on a selective basis to distinguished individuals who merit exceptional recognition for substantial achievement and distinction in a field or activity consonant with the mission of the university or the independent Colleges as articulated in the Statement of Purpose. Through its choice of honorary degree recipients, the university and independent Colleges of BU makes a public declaration of its own values. This award is distinct from other awards offered by the BU in that it is not limited to, while not excluding, alumni or those making a direct impact on the university or Colleges.
Our honorary doctorate degrees are awarded to leaders of national and international eminence in their areas of endeavor.
This unique Ballsbridge University honorary doctorate recognizes profound contributions in the arts, science and technology, education, politics and law, public service, humanitarian pursuits, religion and moral leadership, and civil rights. The honorary doctorate recognize and encourage ideas, values, and accomplishments of individuals from all walks of life who significantly contribute to discussion and debate of thought, science, humanitarian pursuits, beauty, freedom, social development, international development and sustainable education.
The honorary degree will stem from a legitimate, renowned university. Ballsbridge University uses this program to raise funds for some of its research projects (through a reasonable handling fee that applies). The university maintains a complete and permanent record on each honorary doctor and responds promptly to requests for validation when authorized by the recipient of the university.
An honorary degree may be awarded to a person satisfying the following criteria:
1.Outstanding accomplishment in the honoree's field, with national status wherever appropriate;
2.Demonstration of the values articulated in the Statement of Purpose of the College, making the honoree a fitting role model for students;
3.Some tie to BU, or this region of the Swaziland, Malawi, Ruanda, Nigeria,Ghana, Benin and other countries which makes recognition especially appropriate.
The following persons associated with Ballsbridge University are able to nominate candidates to receive honorary degrees:
Nominations are vetted by the Committee on Honorary Degrees, comprised of representatives from the Faculty, Administration, Alumni, and Board of Governors. Both the Faculty and the Board of governors will vote to endorse a
candidate before an honorary degree is granted.
Honorary degrees by Application
The university also accept potential candidates for a honorary degree if the following criteria are met
1. Bachelor degree or a third level Qualification or Professional Qualification
2. Ten years of experience in a particular field
3. Holding a senior position in the private or public body or organization
4. Registrar Application
5. Committee review/recommendation fee of depending on applicant Nationality
6. Curriculum vitae and supporting documents
7. Passport size photo
8. Statement of purpose
9. Donation or statement of support for future students of BU as a role model or trustee.

make sure that they fulfil the criteria before paying any Registrar handling fee.
Note: a reasonable handling fee is to be paid. That one time fee covers shipping, processing and handling of your documentation, the rest goes into the funding of BU's research projects. There are NO additional costs.
AD Eundem Masters and Doctorate Degrees
An ad eundem degree is a courtesy degree awarded by one university or college to an alumnus of another. The recipient of the ad eundem degree is often a faculty member at the institution where he or she is receiving the honor. It is an earned degree, not honorary, because it recognises formal learning. It is acceptable to list both the original degree(s) and the incorporated ("ad eundem") degree when listing post-nominals. The Ad eundem degree from ballsbridge University is awarded to a member of BU faculty or members of associated University or colleges. The degree can be requested by prominent member of the public with extensive experience in a particular area of expertise and the presentation of a written work about 40000 words in any area of expertise. The ad eudem PhD will be awarded after the recommendation of the academic council. Only one time handling fee apply and NO additional cost or tuition. Candidate should apply with the online application form.
Conferment of the Title of Distinguished University Professor
Effective Date: November 17, 2011
Approved by: The Board of Governors
The University will awards the title of Distinguished University Professor to persons who have achieved an outstanding academic record and reputation in their profession at the national or international level to honor him/her for dedicated service to the University Community, as a teacher, scholar, researcher, curator, sponsor, he/she having attained academic and/or professional distinction in those disciplines in which he/she has served with excellence in the University community. The applicant must hold a regular doctoral degree from BU or other Accredited or approved universities. Only one time handling fee apply and NO additional cost. Candidate should apply with the online application form.
Conferment of the Title of Academic fellow FBU
Effective Date: December 11, 2011
Approved by: The Board of Governors
The University will confer the title of an academic fellow to scholars of high reputation in their profession or those wishing to be adjunct faculty of the university.
